It's the kind where part of your body is you, the rest of your body is part of the other costume, and the other part is another person, an animal, or a structure (whatever) and you're connected to it, and part of the 2nd type is dressed up with part of what you are also. Benny Hill had one on his show (a very long time ago when I was about 15 when I watched it). The grandmother was carrying him. His legs were dressed up like the grandma as well as his facial appearance, etc., the legs around his body was were of a man and was stuffed, etc., etc. It's hard to explain, but I'm sure there's a name for them.
