If you missed the Ticon party last night, you missed what will surely be one of the highlights of 2006. My wife and I were driving home afterward and couldn't stop talking about how amazing the event was from start to finish. We started talking about what I call the "wow factor" - when the music and dancefloor and energy just all come together. Most events are lucky to have even one or two of these moments, but Ticon's set was just a continuous non-stop "Wow factor" for their entire set. I have not seen a dance floor EXPLODE (yes, literally EXPLODE!) like that in a long time. With reworkings of older classics (it was nice to hear "Substance"), songs from their new album (the highlight being "U Make Me Wanna Drink More" - hearing that live on a big sound system was worth the drive alone!), and a lot of unreleased new material (probably about half their set) - I can't wait for their next album! I was bouncing on the dancefloor with an energy I have not felt in a very long time, and I have not been able to stop smiling ever since I have woken up...

Osiris and Amanita totally rocked the dancefloor and built up the energy leading to Ticon, and I had a lot of fun opening up the night. I am truly honored to have been a part of such a special evening.
